What are the Best Places for Photos on Vancouver Island?
Vancouver Island offers a wealth of stunning locations that are perfect for photography. When considering locations, I always first recommend that you consider places that have significant meaning to you. This make the photos the most meaningful for years to come!
However, if you're still unsure what will be the best fit for you, I recommend narrowing it down to what you're most drawn to! Maybe: oceans, lakes, forests, bluffs, mountains, or WATERFALLS!

Is Nymph Falls in the Comox Valley a Good Place to do a Photoshoot?
The short answer is yes! Nymph falls has such a diverse environment- waterfalls, rivers, and beautiful deep-green forests. It is wheelchair accessible and allows people to fully embrace a natural atmosphere not too far from the parking lot.
The real question is: Is Nymph Falls a good place for YOU to do a photoshoot?
This depends on you and your wants and needs! Are you drawn to waterfalls and forests? Or does an ocean, mountain or field sound more fitting for you? These are all things to think about! What you love and want you want to prioritize in your photos.
What if the Weather isn't Sunny? Can we have a Rainy Engagement Photoshoot?
If you are down to shoot in the rain, let's do it! Rain can make for such a romantic feel in photos, and if you embrace it, you can have a blast!

That being said, if you don't love the rain you don't have to have a rainy photoshoot. Summertime is a great time to book if you're trying to avoid the rain. I also allow couples to reschedule up two times due to unfavourable weather conditions as I understand that heavy rain and snow can significantly change some hair styles, and outfits.

This couple didn't choose to have their engagement photos taken at Nymph Falls just because it's a beautiful location. They choose it because it was significant to them.
They reached out to me all the way from Ontario, Canada to book their engagement photoshoot at the same place that got engaged a year prior (Nymph Falls). I feel so privileged to have been able to photograph this couple who lives out of province in such a special place on this beautiful island that I am able to call my home.
