Why Do All of Your Packages Include a Complimentary Engagement Session?

I highly recommend taking advantage of your FREE engagement session! I feel that providing an engagement session is important as this will give us a better chance to get to know each other before your big day. It will also allow you to feel comfortable in front of a camera, help me to understand what you LOVE and don't love when it comes to photos and poses. lastly, it gives us the chance to capture some awesome “pre-wedding” photos for your keepsakes, wedding decorations and wedding invitations!

I GET It:

As much as I understand that exact way you feel (from first hand experience), I truly don't believe that. Just like you, I share the common struggle of feeling a lack of genuine connection, and comfortability when posing for a camera. Simply being asked to smile at a camera feels awkward and it doesn't result in candid or authentic images.

During your engagement session:

I now specialize in photographing couples who have never been in front of a camera before. During your engagement session and bridal portraits, I use prompts and movement to create a comfortable environment to capture authentic and candid images.

DURING YOUR wedding day:

Throughout your wedding day, I take a documentary style approach to capturing your day. I want you to experience your day to the fullest. It is never meant to feel pushed, posed or forced. Enjoy it, and I will simply be in the background to capture it all.

Does Our Engagement Session Have to Be Traditional?

No! I want to point out that your engagement photos CAN be traditional, but they don't have to be! Your engagement session can and should be completely based on something you love to do together. You could turn it into a picnic, snowshoe, or even get some photos of the two of you skiing together! Whatever you feel best suits you.
