Seal Bay Park is such a treasure in the Comox Valley. Growing up in the area, I use to walk these trails often. Now with a new perspective from a photographer's point of view, I see how truly gorgeous this park is.

The forested area with it's tall trees, ferns and berry bushes provide such a beautiful background for photos. In the evening during golden-hour is my favourite time to take photos! Seal Bay Park is beautiful for this light. It comes through the trees perfectly illumining the forest and ferns and providing such a stunning warm, glowing light.

This family didn't simply book a family session; they were also celebrating a special occasion: their little one's first birthday! And what better way to commemorate this milestone than with a photoshoot amidst Seal Bay Park's enchanting forest setting?

Cake smashes are awesome, but I LOVE that this family chose to do something unique and meaningful to them truly showcasing the Pacific Northwest location of Vancouver Island!

I feel so blessed that I was able to capture the joy and excitement of this precious moment in their lives.
