One of the Best Forests in the Comox Valley for Professional Photos:
Seal Bay Park is such a treasure in the Comox Valley. Growing up in the area, I use to walk these trails often. Now with a new perspective from a photographer's point of view, I see how truly gorgeous this park is.
The forested area with it's tall trees, ferns and berry bushes provide such a beautiful background for photos. In the evening during golden-hour is my favourite time to take photos! Seal Bay Park is beautiful for this light. It comes through the trees perfectly illumining the forest and ferns and providing such a stunning warm, glowing light.
First Birthday Cake Smash? How about Forest Family Photoshoot!
This family didn't simply book a family session; they were also celebrating a special occasion: their little one's first birthday! And what better way to commemorate this milestone than with a photoshoot amidst Seal Bay Park's enchanting forest setting?
Cake smashes are awesome, but I LOVE that this family chose to do something unique and meaningful to them truly showcasing the Pacific Northwest location of Vancouver Island!
I feel so blessed that I was able to capture the joy and excitement of this precious moment in their lives. Creating images in more of a lifestyle approach like this photoshoot is not just about capturing smiles, but the deep connection of family and the time that they were able to spend together. Seal Bay's quiet park was the perfect place for these lasting memories!
What makes Seal Bay Park a Special Location for Family Photography?
Seal Bay Park is so versatile! Not only does it have beautiful walking trails surrounded by forest, ferns and golden-light, it also has a beach with multiple access points!
If you walk down the path you will come to discover that beach family portraits are also an option! My favourtite locations are always the ones with great variety and options for multiple backgrounds. Seal Bay Park is truly a lovely spot to accommodate both forest and beach photography!
