Searching for Beautiful Flower Fields on Vancouver Island?
Mount Washington offers some of the most stunning wildflower fields on Vancouver Island, just steps away from the scenic chairlift, surrounding trails and mountains. These lesser-known areas are quiet and perfect for adventurous couple shoots.

Fireweed Blooms: An Adventure Photographer's Dream
Fireweed is a well known wildflower on Vancouver Island and is found on Mount Washington during the summer months. The vibrant pink blooms stand out beautifully against the green landscape of Mt. Washington. I LOVE the pop of pink colour during the golden hour light. It feels like it's straight out of a fairytale. Truly a photographer's dream!

When Is the Best Time to See Wildflowers on Mount Washington?
Peak wildflower season on Mount Washington typically runs from late July through August, depending on snowmelt and weather. A warmer summer or strong winds can shorten the window, so timing is everything! If you're planning to capture them in full bloom during your photoshoot, I would recommend reaching out in early summer so we can plan around the best time of the season!
