The Magic of Fall in Paradise Meadows
When autumn hits Paradise Meadows on Mt. Washington, the landscape transforms into a sea of red, fiery blueberry bushes. It’s one of those magical places! The colours are beautiful, it's quiet, intimate and the mountain air is so fresh!! As a Vancouver Island engagement photographer, this time of year always inspires me, and for adventurous couples, it’s the ultimate backdrop for an engagement session that feels wild, romantic, and deeply soulfull.
Authentic Connection in an Adventurous Setting
The beauty of Mt. Washington isn’t just in the views; it’s in how couples experience it together. Being with your partner and experiencing the mountain together, makes it all so much more special! Holding hands on the boardwalk, admiring the mountains, breathing in the fresh air, and snacking on a few blueberries along the trail are some of my favoutite things to feel and capture.
As an adventurous photographer, my approach is always about movement and emotion over posing. I use some poses, but mostly prompts to guide you. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, laugh together, enjoy the moments, and focus on connection.
Bringing a Personal Touch to Your Adventure Session
One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is weaving in something that feels uniquely you. Maybe that’s a champagne pop to celebrate, a cozy picnic among the blueberry leaves, or sharing a sip of your favorite drink as the sun dips behind the mountains. That's what this couple did! They sat together in the red meadows with laughter and their favourite drink in hand.
For others, it might be bringing a bit of adventure: a short hike, a bike ride, or even snowshoeing in the winter months. Adding these personal touches makes your session feel less like a photoshoot and more like a shared memory! A day that feels true to your love story, and is meaningful to look back on for years to come!
So if you’re dreaming of adventure engagement photos on Mt. Washington, let’s plan something that celebrates you, your connection, your energy, and your joy. The best photos are the ones where you’re not just posing in the landscape, but you living in it.
