Embracing the Magic of a Rainy Engagement Session at Neck Point Park


Some of the most unforgettable engagement sessions happen when things don’t go perfectly, and this Neck Point Park engagement session in the rain was proof of that.


In fall sunshine isn't a guarantee, and that's okay! Instead we had soft mist, grey skies, a classic West Coast drizzle, and wind (just to keep things cinematic- ya know?). Some people may reschedule, but these two leaned right in by holding hands, laughing, and letting the rain become part of their love story.


As a Vancouver Island engagement photographer, I love when couples choose to embrace the wild, moody weather that makes this place so unique. Neck Point Park, located in Nanaimo, BC, is one of my favorite spots for photos! It has a stunning rugged coastline, ocean views, and forested areas! It’s beautiful in every direction, rain or shine.
