What Are Gifs?
Are they considered to be a photo or a video?
GIFs are a special type of file. It stands for "Graphics Interchange Format".
In my own words, and more simply, gifs are a series of images on a continuous loop. They are similar to a video. However, they are made from multiple single frame images, you don't need to press play and they don't have any sound.
How do you say Gif?
I honestly have no idea how to pronounce GIF!!
I've been told by many people that the person that created them actually pronounces them two ways- "JIF" and "GIF", so maybe it can be both ways?
I personally pronounce it "JIF".
Geoff is pronounced Jeff, so why not?
Why Do You Make Gifs?
What's the purpose?
GIFs are a beautiful touch! They bring your photos to life and help your relive the moments.
My goal with GIFs is to bring people back to the real thing- the movement, the emotion, the story.
